Privacy Policy

The short version
Daily Muslim has no account and no server of its own. What you set, what you read and the apps you choose stay on your phone. We do not collect, sell or share personal data, and the app contains no ads and no trackers.
Who this policy is from
This policy covers the Daily Muslim app for iPhone and this website. "We" means the developer of Daily Muslim. You can reach us through the contact page.
What stays on your phone
The app saves the following on your device only. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else:
- Your settings: language, reminders, quiet hours and how the pauses behave.
- Your Quran progress: your stopping place, minutes read and your streak.
- Your mood check-ins and the number of times you said a dhikr.
- The answers you give when you first set the app up.
- The signature you may draw on the promise step. It is shown on the screen and is not saved at all.
Screen Time and the apps you choose
To place a dhikr in front of an app, Daily Muslim uses Apple's Screen Time. You choose the apps in a list that Apple shows. Apple gives the app sealed tokens for your choices, not their names: Daily Muslim cannot tell which apps you picked, and neither can we.
Apple tells the app when a chosen app has been used for the length of time you set, so the pause can appear. The app does not receive your screen content, your messages, your browsing or what you type, and it keeps no history of your usage beyond today's count of minutes, which stays on your phone.
Notifications
Reminders are created on your phone by the app itself. They are not sent from a server, and no push token is collected.
Listening to the Quran
Recitations are streamed or downloaded from mp3quran.net, which hosts them. When you play or download a surah, your phone connects to their servers, which can see your IP address as any website does. We do not receive anything from that connection. Downloaded recitations are stored on your phone and can be removed in Settings.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-up, email or phone number.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking tools inside the app.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.
- No selling or sharing of data, because there is none to sell or share.
This website
This site has no cookies of its own and no analytics. It is hosted by Vercel, which, like any host, keeps short technical logs of requests (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the service. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them.
If you write to us from the contact page, your message is sent by your own email app. We use your email address only to answer you.
Deleting your data
Everything is on your phone, so it is yours to remove. In the app, open Settings and choose "Erase all local data". Deleting the app removes it all as well.
Children
Daily Muslim is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts to collect anything, this page will say so first, with a new date at the top.
